Diesen Sommer hat Street Artist J.R. sich im französischen Hafen “le Havre” austoben dürfen. Mit Hilfe von Hafen-Arbeitern hat er innerhalb von 10 Tagen insgesamt 2600 einzelne Papierstreifen auf über 180 Container angebracht.
Mit etwas Abstand ergeben die Container das Bild eines Augenpaares, das zur “women are heroes” Serie JRs zählt. Filmemacher Guillaume Cagniard hat die Arbeiten an dem Superlativ Projekt mit dem kurzen Film “Rivages” dokumentiert.

-> RIVAGES is a new film by Guillaume Cagniard returning to JR’s project completed this summer 2014 in the secluded port of Le Havre, France. The port is run by only men, dockers that inherit the profession from their fathers. The film pays tribute to these men who worked hard to make the largest pasting in the world, to bring the first woman’s eyes to the port, and to send the eyes to travel the seas of the world to Malaysia.
